After a week-long legal tug-of-war that found Paris Hilton, 26, in jail, on house arrest and back in jail again, her life is certainly no longer Simple.
Sent back to jail on June 8, Hilton will serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence behind bars after being remanded over to house arrest for only one day. However, don’t for a minute think that out of sight means out of mind. The fifth season of Hilton’s reality series, The Simple Life premiered last month, and will allow the public to see the incarcerated socialite on the small screen throughout the summer.
Film and television writer/director Jeff Fisher, who worked with Hilton on the third season of the show, Simple Life: Interns, gave Usmagazine.com a ring to offer his take on Hilton, and to discuss the reality TV star who he confirms is a “smart girl.” Currently in production for his new film, Dead of Night, loosely based on Hilton and her Hollywood counterparts, Fisher remembers the heiress as a “sweet girl” with “beautiful manners.”
“Paris showed up, looked everybody in the eye, listened, and was very present,” Fisher reveals of Hilton’s Simple Life stint. “I don’t think anybody ever thought she was impolite or unfriendly.”
